His majesty Issyk Kul. A short but stunning 3 day version of the longer 5 day tour around the second largest alpine lake in the world. A perfect choice for those who want to see the best of the country but don’t have much time or are not accustomed to the long trips. Take the best of Kyrgyzstan in the shortest period of time!

In the morning you’ll be picked up from a hotel and we’ll head straight towards the Issyk Kul region (250km).


Day 1

Bishkek - Burana Tower - Cholpon Ata

On the way, stop at the famous Burana Tower. This UNESCO World Heritage site will be of interest to the history fiends. We’ll spend around 30 minutes here: climb on the top of the tower, visit the archaeology museum and walk around to have a look at the balbals (ancient stones with depictions). Resuming our way to Issyk Kul. Upon arrival in Cholpon Ata (central town of the lake’s northern coast) check in at a guest house. Lunch. Visit the historical museum where you will trace the entire history of Kyrgyzstan and the spiritual center Rukh Ordo which is dedicated to the 5 main religions of the world. A beautiful boat ride out on the lake. After roaming 8km the boat will stop at the depth of 150m. In the hot season (May-September) you can dive into the water and enjoy the surreal swim (life jackets provided). In the other seasons you will have no less beautiful time on the boat. A visit to the adjacent Grigoriev gorge with some stunning views (30 km). Return to Cholpon Ata. Free time. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight.

Day 2

Cholpon Ata - Karakol - Jeti Oguz

Today we’re moving to Karakol town which is located on the line between the northern and southern coasts. City tour upon arrival: Prjevalsky museum, Dungan mosque (1910), Russian Orthodox church (1895), local zoo. Now we’re heading outside Karakol to the famous Ski Base. In winter you would have a beautiful skiing experience here but in summer you will enjoy no less stunning views of the whole region. Luscious green meadows, vast conifer forests and the entire lake in the background - it’s all about this Ski resort. A funicular will take you up to the height of 3040m and back down. Return to Karakol. Lunch. Resuming our way along the southern coast towards Jeti Oguz valley which will disclose to you its legends. Driving up the mountains, deeper into the valley of flowers we’ll arrive at “Jailoo” (green summer pasture) where a yurt camp is located . Now it’s time for a magnificent horseback voyage through the forests and rivers to the lovely waterfall. Free time for a walk. Dinner. Overnight in a yurt (traditional Kyrgyz dwelling).

Day 3

Jeti Oguz - Skazka canyon - Bokonbaevo village - Bishkek

Today is the last day of the tour which offers you several exciting activities to experience. In the morning after breakfast in the yurt we’ll spend some time for a walk in Jeti Oguz. Resuming our way along the southern coast. A visit to the fascinating Skazka (Fairy Tale) canyon for a charming hike. Lunch. Upon arrival in Bokonbaevo village we are going to witness the spectacular Falconry Show (a falcon hunting for its prey). The Berkutchi (falcon’s owner) will tell you more precisely about this traditional way of hunting. Return to Bishkek through the canyons on the way. Upon arrival in the capital city farewell dinner with the guide and driver. Drop off at a hotel (not included). This is the end of our tour, thank you very much!
